One of the things about staying at Widemouth Bay Caravan Park is how close you are to Widemouth Beach. This three mile stretch of sandy beach offers great bathing, wonderful surfing and plenty of sand to play in. It’s one of the best beaches in Cornwall.

When you can drag yourself away from the beach there’s the seaside resort of Bude less than ten minutes away by car. It has everything you could want on your Cornwall holiday, including fish & chip shops, cafes overlooking the beach and surf shops, in case you want to rent a wetsuit or surfboard for your stay.

The cliffs in the area are just as popular as the beaches. You can walk up the highest cliff in Cornwall, just a short distance from Bude, or discover some of the hidden coves that make up the coastline if you want to get away from the more popular beaches.

If you want to travel to some of the local attractions, Tintagel is less than half an hour away where you can look around the gift shops and explore the ruins of the castle, believed to have been one of the important castles of the Arthurian legends.
