Fistral Beach is Newquay's iconic beach, quite simply one of the most consistent and best surfing beaches in the UK. This beautiful beach is west facing, long and sandy and backed by rocks and cliffs. Fistral is the perfect family beach offering facilities including surf equipment hire, lessons, showers, toilets, car parking, restaurants and cafes.
Perranporth is a popular seaside village famous for its 3 miles of soft, sandy beach. There are hundreds of rockpools to search for creatures, as well as the tidal pool at Chapel Rock. The lifeguards patrol during the summer season.
See the penguins relaxing in their pool, visit the creepiest crawlies in the atmospheric tropical house, watch the big cats get their lunch and learn more about conservation all at Newquay Zoo, one of Cornwall’s most exciting visitor attractions.

From Exeter take the A30 into Cornwall, follow signs for Okehampton, then Redruth. After about 80 miles turn right onto the B3284 signed Perranporth. At Pendown Cross turn left and immediately right onto the B3284. After 2 miles turn right onto the B3285. Perran View is just along the road on the left.
