The Victorian town of Ilfracombe is set in dramatic Devon coastline. A fifteen minute walk down the hill from our Ilfracombe Holiday Park takes you into the heart of Ilfracombe which has had a port since the 12th Century and still has a working harbour. Stay at an Ilfracombe holiday park and simply wander along the Quay and discover restaurants, pubs and cafes opening out onto the pavement. Enjoy a drink and a bite to eat while you can enjoy the view including Damien Hirst’s ‘Verity’, who stands proud at the entrance to the harbour.
On the doorstep you’ll find Ilfracombe Aquarium where you can follow the journey of sea life from river through to rock pool and into the deep sea. If you like the sea, then why not take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see if you can spot a seal pup or maybe even a dolphin! For the more adventurous try shark fishing or diving off the Coast of Lundy Island.
Just a short drive away is Watermouth Castle where you can explore the Victorian splendour of the castle, see the dungeons and then let the children let off steam in Merry-go-land and Adventure Land.
Ilfracombe Aquarium is an award-winning, all-weather, educational attraction located in the Old Lifeboat House alongside Ilfracombe’s picturesque and historic harbour.

Croyde Bay is a magical place with a superb sandy beach. Croyde is now deemed to be amongst the top surfing venues in the UK and there are surf schools and shops in the village. The village itself is steeped in old-world charm and has a couple of great pubs where you van enjoy a drink and something to eat.
Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway
The cliff railway is the most exciting way to travel between these two historic towns and will be one of the highlights of the day - for Mums, Dads and all the family. Enjoy stunning views of Exmoor as you glide up and down the 862 foot length of track; from Lynmouth nestling at the foot of the cliffs to Lynton perched 500 feet above.

Leave M5 at Junction 27 and take the A361 towards Barnstaple for 26 miles. Then take the A399 towards Combe Martin. After 14 miles turn onto the A3123 signposted Woolacombe. At Lynton Cross take the B3230 towards Ilfracombe. 1/2 mile later fork left to Ilfracombe and the park is one mile along on the left.
