Torquay will play host to the English Riviera Wheel for two and a half months this summer, with it set up from now until the very end of October. The wheel is almost sixty metres high and was previously at the Olympic Village during the 2012 Games. It has forty gondolas, each lit up to make the wheel a great addition to the waterfront illumination.

Stunning views are available across the bay and the wheel is almost totally silent, meaning that you can simply enjoy the view with no unnecessary distractions. As you go round, a commentary will give you details on what you can see, allowing you to learn more about the area during the twelve minutes you’re on board.

There are a range of tickets available, depending on whether you want to book a private gondola, are bringing children or are coming as a family. It’s a great way to make your trip to Torquay even better during your Devon holidays.
