South West set for more sun as Indian Summer continues

It's safe to say after a glorious start to the summer in July, spirits were dampened, literally, with the rain that fell over the latter part of August.

Well I've got some weather news that'll brighten up those spirits once again, giving you a cracking excuse (not that you need one) to visit Devon, Cornwall and Somerset on your last minute cheap caravan holidays!

Summer In September | John Fowler Holidays September Breaks

Warm weather is on the way northwards from the Mediterranean and is set to send mercury in to the 20s this week.

Forecasters have predicted sunshine for the South West, with temperatures soaring as high as 25C – looks like I'll rummaging around for the same number in sun cream then!

The mid-September average usually stands at around 17C, but low pressure and warm winds from the Mediterranean Sea are leading to higher temperatures in the region.

Mark Wilson, a Met Office meteorologist, said temperatures will rise with each day during the week.

A combination of out of season rates and this surprisingly warm weather means the South West is an appealing destination for those looking for late cheap family holidays UK. As we all know the British weather can be a bit unpredictable, so my advice is to take advantage while you can!
