From 25^th June – 1^St July, Pennywell Farm will take part in a special week of activities to celebrate National Insect Week. The event at Pennywell is part of a nationwide campaign organised by the Royal Entomological Society, and the farm will centre focus very much on one of Pennywell’s much-loved activities: pond dipping.

The Pennywell ponds are teeming with life. Nets, trays and bug boxes will be made available for visitors wanting to take a dip to see what they can find. There will also be the chance to find out how healthy your own pond and garden is by identifying the insects that live there.

Located within easy reach of our South Devon caravan park, it’s the perfect day out for locals and holiday makers alike. It’s a whole week of great activities and amazing facts to stimulate the antennae and help discover more about the huge diversity of the British insect world.
