We offer a great range of accommodation for Devon holidays in plenty of different coastal locations throughout this beautiful county. Whether you are camping, caravanning, or enjoying one of our superb holiday homes or cottages, you will be ideally situated for easy access to all of the attractions this unique and historically rich region has to offer. On top of that, depending on where you’re staying you might be able to pop across the east or west borders and enjoy the attractions that people on Cornwall holidays or Somerset holidays get to visit. Have a look at our available Devon caravan parks to find accommodation that is suitable for you and your family.
Whether you’re looking for a week long getaway or a Devon short break, a John Fowler Devon holiday park can provide. We have accommodation to cater for couples, families or groups of friends, and each of our parks has nightly entertainment that’s free for any guests staying with us. We can provide chalets, villas, apartments, caravans and more! Or, if you’re a fan of camping or caravanning, why not take a look at the tent and touring options in our caravan parks? They’re a great way to save even more money with John Fowler, and you still get access to all the facilities of our caravan parks.
Of course, when you’re enjoying a Devon caravan holiday, you’ll want to get out and explore the county. Each of our parks comes with a list of recommended attractions for you to visit whilst staying with us, so you don’t have to worry about having nothing to do. We’ve even put together lists of local beaches for you to visit, so when you’d rather spend a day by the sea you can rest assured that we’ve got some great suggestions. Devon’s coasts offer spectacular views and the opportunity to spend a day relaxing by the beach or walking along the cliff tops. Or you could spend a day in one of the many seafront towns and villages that you’ll find. Whatever you choose to do, you’re sure to have fun and feel much more relaxed at the end of the day.
If you’d prefer to get out into some natural wilderness, why not consider a walk on Exmoor or Dartmoor? Both offer spectacular views and give you a superb opportunity to get out in the fresh air. Exmoor’s coastal walks will lead you to Lynton and Lynmouth, with their fantastic, water-powered cliff railway, whilst Dartmoor’s tors provide fabulous views across the county and some exhilarating hiking routes to boot! You could also take a much more relaxed approach and drive to one of the National Trust’s car parks, then take a short walk to some great picnic destinations or sight seeing spots. Lunch next to a river in a field littered with large, granite boulders is a great way to eat.
Getting out on the water is easy too on both the north and south coasts of Devon. Fishing trips or wildlife spotting trips regularly sail from ports throughout Devon, and are a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. You can spot porpoises, seals, numerous sea birds and, if you’re really lucky, even basking sharks. Both the Bristol Channel and the English Channel lie of Devon’s coast, but regardless of whether you’re facing Wales or France, there’s plenty to do both on and around the water.
We couldn’t possibly sum up everything Devon has to offer on just one page, so head to each park’s individual page to find out more about the area and local attractions. Rugged cliffs, white pebble beaches, stretches of golden sands, quaint fishing ports and the Jurassic Coast - England's first natural World Heritage Site - are all popular destinations for those staying at our Devon holiday parks. Find a park that suits you and book your trip today.
If you want to keep up to date with all the latest events in Devon, or are looking for something special to do whilst you’re on holiday with us, then our holiday news section has everything you need to know about upcoming fairs, markets, theatre shows and more! This is a great way to plan a day or two of your trip, and allows you to see much more of the county than just its holiday attractions.
