Prepare to be amazed and awed as you watch the thrilling Zapcat Grand Prix power boat races in Newquay this May. Two legs of the Zapcat Racing UK Tour are being held at Fistral Beach based on the newly agreed three year deal to host the race exclusively in Cornwall.

There are two rounds over the weekend with racing starting at midday and finishing at 4pm. The rounds are split up to 16 heats of racing culminate in two divisional finals each day. Each daily round will earn the competitors vital points towards the prestigious National Championships with Services, Rookie, Team, Mixed, Home Nations and Surf titles, all of which will come to their tense finales in October.

The event runs over Saturday and Sunday (07/05/2011 to 08/05/2011), where you can expect to see and experience:

The grand Zapcats parade.
Opportunities to meet the race teams and see the power boats up close.
Friday practice sessions.
35+ action packed races on Saturday and Sunday.
Up to 20 boats racing through the surf at speeds of up to 50 MPH.
A range of entertainment and freshly prepared food and drink.
