Frequently Asked Questions
-
How often can I visit my caravan holiday home?
You can visit whenever you like during the park open season. You can enjoy your holiday home for weekends, weeks, or longer periods. The season varies by park and ranges between 9 and 12 months.
-
What are the costs after buying a caravan holiday home?
The annual pitch fee contributes towards the running costs of the parks. Payment options can spread the running costs each year to make ownership more affordable and hassle-free. Other charges include utility bills, water, rates, local authority rates, and insurance, and will be explained when you visit.
-
Can you help provide finance for my purchase?
Yes - as a registered credit broker with the FCA we can introduce you to a number of lenders to fund your holiday home purchase. Finance is subject to status and terms & conditions. Written details are available on request.
-
Can I live in my holiday home?
No, your holiday home cannot be used as your main or permanent residence, however we do not restrict the number of times or duration you can visit the parks. You will need to have your main residential address away from the park, which doesn’t need to be in the UK. (Conditions of occupancy do vary from park to park and will be explained when you visit).
-
Can I choose where my holiday home pitch is on the park?
Yes - you will be given a guided tour of the park and shown the pitch locations that are available.
-
Are other people allowed to use my holiday home?
Holiday home owners are free to use their holiday home as they wish, as long as they ensure visitors are away of the behavioural expectations. We want all owners and guests to enjoy their time on the park.
-
What choice of holiday homes are available?
We offer a range of new and used holiday homes at each park. We work with the major UK manufacturers, with a broad selection of makes and models for you to choose from. Please view our current holiday homes for sale for information on the latest models available at each park.
-
What is the difference between a Caravan holiday home and a Lodge?
A caravan holiday home or static caravan is a single unit model usually 12’ wide and can be up to 14ft wide. Lodges are made of two units, usually each 10’ wide making 20’ in total. Lengths of both types usually vary from 28’ up to 40’ with the larger lodges providing around 800’ sq ft of accommodation.
-
Can decking be added to my holiday home?
Yes, of course. Enjoying the great outdoors is part of the holiday home ownership experience and it’s great to enjoy the fresh air on your very own spacious decking. If you are interested in having decking installed, we are able to arrange this through our nominated suppliers. The maximum size will depend on each pitch. You can discuss this with one of our holiday home advisors.
-
Are pets allowed on the park?
Yes – our parks are pet friendly, and most are perfect with dog walks right on your doorstep. As you would expect there are rules to help ensure that everyone takes responsibility for their pets.
-
Will my holiday home be secure when I am not there?
We aim to ensure a safe and secure environment for holiday home owners. All of our holiday parks have staff that live on site to look after security and safety around the park.
