Dead On Arrival

A suspicious death has occurred on the 6.30pm arrival from Paddington. A motley collection of passengers arrived on the platform and nervously awaited the arrival of the police.

What secrets do they wish to keep hidden? Who was the dead man found on the train and what connection did he have to the suspects? Who was responsible for his death? The suspects are moved to a local holiday park for questioning.

As the evening progresses the police, in the form of Detective Chief Inspector Charles Appleby, seeks to pursue the investigation he calls on the other guests  for their assistance in solving the crime.

Will the case be solved? Will there be another death?

All the clues will be there to lead to the only possible culprit, but will they be correctly deduced? The Chief Inspector, with the help of the other guests, is determined to get to the truth before the night is out.

Saturday

Murder on the Riviera

The French Riviera in the 1930’s, an era of elegance, excitement and excess; where the rich and the famous enjoy the glorious climate, the clear air and the warm azure blue waters of the Mediterranean.

On Cap Ferrat, between Nice and Monaco stands the exclusive Grand Hotel du Cap, the epitome of luxury and sophistication; a Hotel where the fashionable and the celebrated come just to be seen. Past guests have included Charlie Chaplin, Charles Boyer and Somerset Maugham to name but a few.

However, all is not well. A body has been found on the rocks below the Hotel; the body of rich industrialist Sir Michael Crispin, done to death with a vicious blow to the back of the head. Sir Michael was a keen art collector and, after his death, a valued Picasso he had recently bought was missing. The police are baffled.

This evening, Chief Inspector Appleby investigates, and he now seeks your help in solving the crime. Together with the suspects in the case, The Chief Inspector will tell the story of what happened that fateful night in 1935. You will have the opportunity to question them. All the clues will be there to lead to the correct conclusion, but will they be correctly deduced?  Remember, as tonight’s story unfolds, the characters you meet may not be as they seem and may not necessarily be telling you the truth.  The clues are all there somewhere, so you have every chance of figuring out whodunit!
