Rules and Regulations for the fox factor 2019
Guidelines to assist your preparation and performance If you are competing in this year’s talent competition, where you will be permitted to sing or perform one song or one medley of songs no longer than 3 minutes for both of the heat and the Grand Final, if you are successful. Due to the vast number of competitors if your act is to last any longer than this, you may be asked to shorten the routine. If you can please try to bring more than one song or track, this is for the following reasons:
1) Another contestant maybe doing the same song as you and this will give you the option to amend it.
2) If you are one of the successful Grand Finalist it may prove advantageous to demonstrate to both sets of the judges and the live audience your flexibility as a performer. Bringing more than one song is optional but as explained, this could prove vital and give you an extra edge in the competition.
PLEASE NOTE! Singers are not allowed to perform with Pre-existing lyrics; they must use a backing track (music without any other performer singing on the track). If you have any problem finding the tracks that you require, you could try the following websites: www.karaokeversion.com , www.ameritz.com
You may chose or prefer to sing acapella (without music); however this is not advisable as we feel the music will only help enhance your performance.
We do advise that you purchase a professionally recorded backing track, however if you decide to use a copied track we strongly recommend that you check that the cd works on several devices before arriving for the competition. John Fowler holidays are not responsible for CDs failing to play on our equipment. Also note that the only type of media that can be used for the competitions will be CDS. Please be advised that you must provide your own music and that John Fowler Holidays will not provide any music or backing tracks for any performances.
The use of Smartphone’s, I pads, USB sticks will not be permitted in the competition.
If you are using any type of musical equipment for your act, we do advise that you bring your own leads, extension cables, input cables, as this is something that we don’t supply, we also advise that the lead is at least 20ft in length to reach the centre of the stage to maximise your performance.
If you have any further questions that need answering before you arrive for the competition then please don’t not hesitate to contact us. On our email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back to John Fowler Holidays Trelawne Manor for this Year’s Grand Finals and Entertainment Extravaganza.
