Brixham Harbour
A traditional harbour town boasting restaurants serving locally sourced products, colourful markets and a free museum. Take a stroll around the marina and catch a wildlife watching cruise or explore the local bars and art trails. There’s something for everyone!
St Mary’s Bay
A delightfully secluded sandy bay, accessible via the holiday park, you can choose to relax and enjoy the panoramic views or explore the interesting rock formations. The bay is just a short walk away from Berry Head Nature Reserve.
Berry Head National Nature Reserve
A hotspot for wildlife watching, the reserve is home to a variety of seabirds and the opportunity to see some iconic marine mammals such as species of dolphins and seals. With 60 metre high cliffs and forming the southern tip of Tor Bay, Berry Head is a fantastic place to walk with nature. The site has toilet facilities and a dog-friendly café.
WeFerry
A local sea safari tour and ferry company who specialise in South Devon’s marine life and coastal history. Take a sunset cruise and enjoy on-board dining and a whole host of sea activities, or simply jump on board and use the ferry service to explore the ports. Golden Hind Museum Ship
A prominent sight within Brixham Harbour, The Golden Hind is a perfect replica of 16th century explorer Sir Francis Drake’s famous ship. One of only two full-size replicas in the world! Come aboard and explore the decks and learn about the history of this magnificent vessel. With an indoor display available, it’s a great attraction come rain or shine.
Churston Cove
A quiet and secluded cove, enjoy the peace and tranquillity here, be it relaxing on the shore or having a dip in the calm waters. You might even spot some local marine wildlife! The cove is a short walk – or even swim – around from Fishcombe Cove, where you can find a café and other facilities. Dogs are allowed on Churston all year round.
Splashdown Water Park
If it’s excitement you’re after then Splashdown Water Park is the ideal family day out. With a spaghetti junction of adrenalin-fuelled flume rides there’s something to make everyone happy, from big to little kids. The park is situated alongside Goodrington Beach, so you can round off your pool day with a sandy excursion.
South West Coast Path
South Devon forms part of the beautiful South West Coast Path. With meandering pathways, clifftop vistas and geological history, it’s certainly worth exploring. Pick up and leave the path wherever you please, it’s the perfect addition to any explorer’s holiday.
Shoalstone Pool
An iconic feature of the South Devon coast, this natural seawater pool is open May to September and has lifeguards on duty throughout. The pool is open 10am to 6pm and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy views out over Torbay. Facilities include changing rooms, showers and lockers and entry is free with a voluntary donation optional to help manage the pool.
Paignton Zoo
One of South Devon’s largest visitor attractions, take a day out to Paignton Zoo and come face to face with over two thousand animals! From great apes to tiny frogs, this immersive experience will wow the whole family. Learn about the conservation of iconic species then let the kids let out their wild sides in the family play areas.
