5 Places to Go On A Rainy Day in Somerset
Hello everyone, it has been a bit rainy over here at our Somerset holiday parks recently, but I have been making the most of it by splashing around in the puddles and finding fun things to do in the rain whilst at our caravan sites in Somerset.
Here are my top 5 favourite places to go on a rainy day in Somerset:
1 - Brean Play â This awesome play area has 3 areas for babies, toddlers and kids up to age 11. There's so much to do at this indoor soft play area with loads of slides, tunnels and interactive play equipment, it's so much fun for everyone!
2 - Seaquarium â Weston-super-Mare - The aquarium in Weston-super-Mare has its own pier on the seafront and has over 30 fun displays and a range of freshwater, marine and tropical species from around the world and even an awesome underwater shark tunnel!
3 - Fleet Air Arm Museum - Europe's Largest Naval Aviation Collection, dedicated to the flying arm of the Royal Navy, holding thousands of objects, from photos to complete aircrafts, documents and medals, plus some really cool models of aircraft and Royal Navy ships. New for 2017, the museum has added 2 new exhibitions , the first honouring the most famous Fleet Air Arm Pilot, Eric 'Winkle Brown and also the Cold War to Kabul exhibition, and a brand new children's playground.
4 - AMF Hollywood Bowl Taunton- There's nothing more fun for a family on a rainy day to than an exciting game of bowling to cheer everyone up! At AMF Hollywood Bowl you can enjoy the ultimate bowling experience when you book an exclusive VIP lane, with a delicious range of food and drinks to feed the whole family and test your skills with some fantastic amusements.
5 - The Jane Austen Centre- Go back in time and discover this unique exhibition which tells the story of Jane Austen's time in Bath and how it influenced her writing. You will find a number of exhibits, costumes, films and live guides taking you back to the 1800s.
