Appledore Book Festival 2017

Hello there ladies & gents, we have a very exciting week ahead close to our North Devon holiday parks with the Appledore Book Festival. This year Appledore will host their biggest festival line-up to date with over 70 events including inspirational celebrities, chefs, poets, musicians, artists and some brilliant workshops.

Now in its 11th year the Appledore Book Festival will kick off on Friday for 8 days, if you are on your North Devon holidays you can see some huge names heading to the fishing village including; Jeremy Vine, Jeremy Paxman, Ian Rankin, Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards and Ann Cleeves.

Appledore Book Festival is a charity and was founded in 2006 by Nick Arnold, author of Horrible Science. Nick focussed the first ever book festival to raise money to save Appledore Library and has stayed as a Patron ever since. The charity continues to promote the use of libraries, staging lots of events in Appledore library and hosting more events around other North Devon libraries.

This year has sold more tickets than ever before and is expecting around 6,000 visitors! If you are exploring the festival whilst on your Devon holidays please send your photos to our Facebook page.
