That's right, weather experts have predicted Wednesday July 20th to be the hottest day of the year in the county. I can already see smiles on the faces of those of you who have booked your Devon holidays around that date.

Temperatures are expected to hit highs of 28C, which could make this summer the hottest for a hundred years!

An outdoor heating company trawled through 30 years of daily temperature data to single out July 20th as the hottest day of the year statistically, averaging a blistering 28C.
