Barnstaple Fair Carnival - 14th - 17th September 2016
Woo-hoo - Barnstaple Fair Carnival is fast approaching boys and girls, if you are staying at one of our North Devon holiday parks this September you won't want to miss this awesome event. Barnstaple Carnival is a fun filled community day that has been part of the town for generations upon generations and this year we want to mark this special 70th anniversary in real carnival style.
The Fair runs from 14th-17th September and the Carnival is being held on Saturday 17th, the Carnival is run by a small committee of volunteers and attracts up to 20,000 people.Local charities, individuals and groups will take part in the procession and retailers and caterers are also invited to participate in the Stalls to celebrate this special 70th anniversary.
From 13th- 17th there will be a Vintage Fair on the Square starring two vintage organs and a vintage carousel by special arrangement with the Showman's Guild.
There is a junior procession taking place on Carnival day, which is perfect for the little ones, and anything goes from nurseries and play groups to older children. Participants can take part in both processions if they so wish and the junior procession is perfect for little ones who love to dress up and want to show off their favourite costumes and fancy dress. As it is a slightly shorter route it suits little legs as well as pushchairs.
Come and join in the fun at North Devon's historical event, Barnstaple Fair Carnival, the largest in the West Country.
The Barnstaple Fair Carnival is amazeballs and has something enjoyable for all the family; please send your pictures of the Carnival to my Facebook page so I can see all of your fun and games.
