BBC Countryfile make filming trip to Clovelly

It's not uncommon to see filming crews documenting some of the most unique areas down here in the South West. And it was no different last week when a team shooting for BBC Countryfile scaled the cobbled streets of a fishing village many of you would have visited during your Devon holidays.

Clovelly was the spot, and BBC Countryfile were on location to film a short documentary on the story of the Lifeboat Station Project, which is working on capturing Victorian style photographs of every Lifeboat Station in the UK.

BBC Country Film In Clovelly | John Fowler Devon Holiday Parks

In the six minute clip, Jack Lowe, who runs the Lifeboat Station Project, is filmed taking a photo of the Clovelly Lifeboat, before Ellie Harrison interviews Clovelly's RNLI Station Lifeboat Operations Manager and a volunteer helmsman.

Clovelly Lifeboat Press Officer, Tom Wiersma, said: “It was a great day and we look forward to the programme.”

The feature will be aired 24th January, so make sure you look out for it. If you've not visited previously, Clovelly is a timeless and picture-postcard village that is a must-see if you're staying at our holiday parks in Devon this year.
