Cheffy looks ahead to Devon Restaurant Month

Let's see if anyone can guess my favourite month of the year...?

Nooo it's not December! It's giugno, or you'd say June.

Not only does June officially mark the start of summer, but I get to indulge even more while visiting John Fowler's UK caravan parks as it's Devon Restaurant Month.

Locally farmed and freshly caught produce like succulent meats, cheeses and fish will be celebrated alongside Devon's passionate chefs, during the whole of June.

The Hunters Inn at Heddon Valley, near our North Devon holiday parks, will have locally farmed venison on offer, with the meat being prepared differently each day between June 9th and 13th.

A range of other offers and events include two-for-one eating out, a pudding club, a Devon crab and lobster night, tasting evenings and afternoon teas.

Devon Restaurant Month organiser, Jeff Cooper said: "Now in its third year, we're overwhelmed by the interest and support that we've received from across the county."

"More than 40 events have taken part and this number grows each year.”
