Cornwall voted world’s most child-friendly holiday destination

I've got some quality news about Cornwall...

The region has been voted the most child-friendly holiday destination in the WORLD! This doesn't really surprise me, I spend most of my summer in Cornwall visiting people on their family holidays UK and I love it!

It topped the 2,000 strong Holiday Lettings poll because of its amazing beaches, child-friendly pubs and restaurants and the short journey time making it perfect for weekend breaks UK.

Cornwall beat Orlando, which boasts exciting theme parks and gorgeous weather, to the number 1 spot because the Florida city takes a whopping nine hour flight to get to.

My two other favourite places also made the top 10! Devon placed 3^rd and Somerset came in 9^th place.

A spokesman for Holidaylettings.co.uk said: "If you have young children, there is so much to consider when deciding when to go on holiday, where to go and what accommodation to stay in."

"Not only do you need to choose somewhere that is safe for children, but you also want somewhere that has plenty of things to do, food that fussy kids will be happy to eat and also a journey which will be as stress-free as possible."

"And it seems Cornwall is the place that fits the bill. It only involves a few hours in the car and you can be confident there will be the right food and plenty of activities to keep your children busy."

"While Orlando might have the theme parks that children dream of, the high temperatures and long travelling time can push it down a parent's wish list - at least until the children are a little older."
