Dog Friendly Beaches In Somerset
Hello my dear Foxy Friends. Here at John Fowler Holidays we know how important it is to take your dog on holiday and we provide a variety of pet friendly holidays and accommodations at our holiday parks, because after all, dogs deserve a holiday as much as we do!
If you are staying at our Somerset holiday park this year it is an ideal place to explore with your furry friend, meet new dog pals and make new discoveries.
We all know that our four-legged friends enjoy a day out at the beach and here are the top 5 dog friendly beaches in Somerset.
Berrow North and South - Both of Berrow's beaches prove popular destinations amongst dog walkers as dogs are able to run freely on the sand all year round. Parking is allowed on the beach, and the path outwards from the beach has lovely sea views, alongside toilets, shops, disabled facilities, and life guards on patrol.
Sand Bay - Known for it's long stretch of wild beach, this beach is popular with dog lovers with views across the Bristol Channel to Wales. The beach has easy to walk grassland and is a great fishing spot.
St. Audries Bay - At the foot of the Quantock Hills, this bay is a mixture of sand, shingles, rock and flat pebbles with two beautiful waterfalls pouring down the cliffs.
Porlock Weir - This small pebble beach caters for fishing and sailing and is an adventurous dog walk all year round. Although you can't explore huge lengths of the coastline the space holds value with a rural setting.
Bossington Beach- Belonging to the National Trust, the pebble beach is framed by the hills of the Exmoor coast, boasting a river which runs down a valley from Bossington Village. This beach also attracts rare species of birds and insects as well as traces of WWII history.
