Exmoor to play host to first ever South West Outdoor Festival
Just a short drive from our holiday parks in Devon and you can experience the sweeping hills, vast moorland, sharp coastline and winding rivers of Exmoor National Park.
A day out exploring Exmoor's varied landscape often tops the wish-lists of visitors to our North Devon holiday parks, and you can experience even more this year at the first ever South West Outdoor Festival.
The event makes its debut this September in Heddon Valley, and will be run by the National Trust and Cotswold Outdoor.
On hand to tell tales of outdoor adventure are television explorer Monty Halls, ex GB rower Anna McNuff and international off-piste athlete Tobias Mews among others.
Adventurists camp beside the river and get stuck into activities including kayaking, tree climbing, wild swimming, foraging, stand up paddling, coasteering plus plenty more.
National Trust General Manager, Rob Joules, said: âThe South West is one of the best places in the country for outdoor activities and this festival will be bringing them all together under one roof and over one weekend in the beautiful Heddon Valley.â
âFrom taster sessions to thrilling challenges, or just chilling out by the campfire, there will be something for everyone to enjoy no matter what age or ability.â
