First ever Burnham-on-Sea Kite Festival flies in this weekend!
One of my favourite things to do while I'm at our holiday parks in Somerset is get down the beach and fly a kite with the rest of the Foxy Gang!
If you like doing the same, you're in luck this weekend as Burnham-on-Sea Beach hosts its first ever Kite Festival, how coooool!
The free event hopes to take-off, making it an annual fixture in the Somerset calendar.
Kite Festival Organiser, Gaynor Brown, said: "It's a very informal event with displays on the main beach throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday and a beach party on Saturday night with Elvis followed by an illuminated kite display."
"Kite flyers are coming from various parts of the country to teach us how to make and fly kites," she added.
Activities kick-off Saturday 12th September, between 11am-8.30pm. Sunday's family-fun starts at 11am and the events come to a close at 4pm.
Why not head down with your family if you're at our Somerset caravan parks? Burnham-on-Sea Beach is almost on the doorstep of Sandy Glade Holiday Park!
