First Ilfracombe Film Festival to launch in 2016
Film fans will have ANOTHER reason to choose Ilfracombe as their self catering holidays destination next year, with the debut of the town's first ever Film Festival.
Organised by the Ilfracombe Film Club, the Film Festival will cover three days in March â perfect timing for anyone visiting us during our opening month of the 2016 season.

It's not just the movie buffs that can make the most of the screenings. With modern Hollywood blockbusters, independent creations, old school classics and family friendly animations, you'll find something to cater for all ages.
Event Organiser Julia Knight said: âThe idea is to develop the cultural life of Ilfracombe. There's so much going on around here already it seems to make the most sense to try and encourage that.â
âWe'll be including films for all age groups in the town but also hope to get some people in from outside the area by putting on films which you simply can't see on the big screen anywhere else.â
The long term plans are for the festival to branch out from the traditional cinema, staging screenings from living room sofas and even outside with a deck chair theme â sounds quirky!
We know the weather isn't always spot on in March, so what a fabulous way to fill a rainy day during your UK self catering holidays, supporting a local event while catching a flick with the family.
