Every month of the year is event busy here in North Devon, and there's no let-up during Easter, with even more fun-filled family goings on for you to enjoy on your caravan holidays in Devon!

In the latest instalment of 'Freddy's Favourite 5' I'm doing the research for you, giving you my top Easter events around North Devon. Check them out below...

Easter Events In North Devon | John Fowler Devon Holiday Parks

Trixie's Birthday Celebrations | John Fowler Holiday Parks

It's Trixie's birthday on Easter Sunday and we've got an EGGtra special weekend lined up at Sandaway Beach Holiday Park. But shhhhh don't tell her, let's keep it a surprise!

We're kicking things off on Friday 3rd April, with egg decorating and card making where you'll all be laughing at my lack of art skills! Saturday continues the theme, making egg baskets and hats. On Sunday 5th April, Trixie's birthday, we'll be celebrating with an Easter egg hunt, chocolate party, egg toss and all topped off with an evening PJ party.

Easter Dino Egg Hunt | Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park

Visit Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park during the Easter holidays and take part in the annual Dino Egg Hunt for your chance to win lots of chocolatey goodies!

The park's looking for brave rangers to explore the valley in search of the un-hatched dinosaur eggs. Can you find them before they hatch, and make it thorough scary encounters with prehistoric dinosaurs?

Easter will also see the official opening of a brand new indoor attraction, the Dinosaurus Playzone. The 7,500 square feet fun zone is the largest indoor play this side of North Devon and a must-visit rain or shine!

Easter Eggstravaganza Festival | BIG Sheep

I'm sure a lot of you visiting our Devon holiday parks will be boasting an impressive haul of Easter eggs, but if you're looking to add more look no further than the Big Sheep's Easter Eggstravaganza Festival.

From 28 March-12 April there will be more than 30,000 chocolate eggs up for grabs, not forgetting the cute new born lambs, fluffy rabbits and colourful daffodils for the whole family to enjoy too!

Director of the Flock, Rick Turner, said: “Easter is one of my favourite times at the BIG Sheep, it's the arrival of Spring, the start of a new season when all our friendly staff are fresh and enthusiastic, and I love to hear the squeals of delight and the look of sheer pleasure on the faces of the children when they discover a chocolate egg!”

Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt | RHS Garden Rosemoor

Nothing waves goodbye to winter and welcomes spring like a blooming and colourful garden, right? Pair that with some delicious Lindt choccy and we have a magical Easter day out at RHS Garden Rosemoor.

Every day from 28 March-12 April you can take part in the Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt, hopping through the beautiful gardens following clues to some tasty treats – you'll even see hatching chicks and real cute bunnies along the way.

Elsewhere you can get your craft on at Rosemoor's Easter Workshops, making willow baskets and creating your very own bunny ears. There's also a guided family wildlife walk, where you can take in the amazing sights while burning off a few calories!

Easter Egg Hunt | Lundy Island

Can you think of a more unique location for an Easter egg hunt than Lundy Island, off the North Devon coast?

Unspoilt and tranquil, it's the perfect place to recharge during your holidays in Devon, and the children can keep themselves busy following the clues to the chocolate goodies!

On Saturday 4th April the East Bunny leaves a trail of treats all over the island, ready for a boat full of sweet-toothed children. Catch the MS Oldenburg from Ilfracombe harbour at 10:00am, returning at 18:00 later that evening after an island adventure like no other.
