Kenny's top 3 reasons why a North Devon holiday is a dream destination
Many people spend the year dreaming of their summer holidays, somwhere they can relax and enjoy a mug of Horlicks with the people they love. However the cost and hassle of going abroad these days can ruin the fun of your summer break. Here are three reasons why holidays in Devon could take away the stress of going abroad.
1. Excellent for adventure...
If you are like me and your perfect holiday consists of countryside walks and being surrounded by nature then you'll be in your element in North Devon. Exmoor National Park is a personal favourite of mine and it has miles of footpaths and bridleways perfect for exploring.
The Tarka Trail is a series of cycle and foot paths following the old railways of North Devon that spans for more than 30 miles with plenty of nature to spot along the way.
2. Outstanding Culture...
Culture lovers like me will not be bored on hoiday in Devon. With three theatres, galleries galore and many facinating museums and some parts of North Devon dating back to the 10th Century - there is an awful lot of history and culture to be appreciated in Devon.
3. Culinary Delights...
North Devon has a large variety of stunning local produce; it is a must-visit place for our Cheffy and other food fanatics. From fine dining to authentic flavours, street-food markets, fresh fish and not forgetting pasties and cream tea your Devon holiday will not disappoint.
I would love it if you could post on my Facebook profile either pictures or stories of your favourite nature, or cultural spots you came across on your Devon holidays - it would be fantastic to hear your stories.
