If you are at one of our Devon or Cornwall caravan parks this weekend, you are in the best places you could possibly be on National Cream Tea Day! Whether you do it the Devon way and put the cream first, or the Cornish way with the jam first you will find some of the best Cream Tea's in the country in Devon & Cornwall.

Here are our favourite 7 places to find Cream Tea on your Devon & Cornwall Holidays:

Tea on the Green, Westward Ho!

Overlooking the sea, Tea on the Green in Westward Ho! Is famous for their Creams Teas both sweet and savoury, with over 6 different ones to chose from and their brand new one "The Misfits" - one fruit or plain scone and one cheese scone with accompanying jam, cream, chutney and cream cheese.

Hele Corn Mill, Ilfracombe 

Three times winner of Devon Life's Best Tearoom award, this tearoom is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional Devonshire cream tea. All items in our tearoom are baked by the miller's wife on the premises. 

With a range of cream teas available; as well as fruit or plain scones, they also offer Devonshire splits for a truly traditional cream tea experience. If you'd like something a bit different, try the thunder and lightning (scones with clotted cream and golden syrup) or a savoury cream tea (cheese scones served with cream cheese and our prize-winning caramelised onion marmalade)!

Montpellier, Brixham

The stylish Montpellier on Brixham Quay has beautiful views of the sea. From delicious classic cream teas to Montpellier's Champagne Afternoon Tea: a variation of filled sandwiches, a warm scone with clotted cream and a selection of patisserie accompanied by a pot of tea, you're be spoilt for choice!

Docton Mill Gardens & Tea Rooms, Hartland

Devon is famous for Cream Teas and Docton Mill Gardens is no exception. With their award winning tea room surrounded by gardens and supplying local, home grown produce they were presented with the award for Best Cream Tea in Devon, at the North Devon Food & Drink Awards.

Miss Marples Tea Room, Looe

At Miss Marples on Looe's Fore Street, the grand tradition of the Cornish Cream Tea lives on. Homemade jams, clotted cream, personal pots of tea (many varieties to choose from) and freshly baked scones.

Trevaskis Farm, Hayle

Trevaskis Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant is best known for its gigantic and never ending chilled dessert bar and farm shop located as you drive in. It also offers a beautiful cream tea served from 12pm to 3pm using home grown, farm produce and local suppliers, the Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant has earned an unrivalled reputation and is a must for all food lovers.

The Tearoom, St Ives

You could not ask for a better view whilst enjoying a Cornish Cream Tea at The Tearoom in St Ives town. The family-run business serves Cream Tea with two warm home-made scones sweet or savoury, Boddington's strawberry jam, Rodda's clotted cream and a pot of loose-leaf tea for one.
