National Fish & Chip Day 2017
Ciao friends! Today is National Fish & Chip Day and at our Cornwall holiday parks I have been searching for the top 5 finest fish & chip shops around. Here's a fun fact to celebrate National Fish and Chip Day, the South West is the only part of the UK where curry sauce is more popular than mushy peas!
If you are on your family holiday at one of our caravan parks why not try the tasty fish & chips from Chef's Corner or if you are out and about in Cornwall why not check out one of my favourite chippies:
Rick Stein's Fish, Falmouth â Only 16 miles from Perran View Holiday Park you can certainly expect quality from this fish & chip shop, you can enjoy dishes such as Cornish chilli crab, Indonesian seafood curry and even deep fried oysters!
Harbour Fish & Chips, St Ives â With some of the finest local seafood and shellfish, you can have your fish grilled or battered with chips or salad, all made with fresh ingredients cooked to order.
The Plaice, Bude â Just a couple of miles from our Widemouth Bay Caravan Park, The Plaice provides friendly staff, an organised service with tasty fresh fish made to order.
Catch, Looe â Winners of The National Fish & Chip Awards 2016, Catch is a traditional chip shop with a difference, with fish sourced directly from the fishing boats in Looe and all of the cod & haddock being purchased through the Marine Stewardship Council. A truly Cornish Business!
Lewsy Lou's , St Agnes â A high quality fish monger offering simple, fresh and Cornish food using the very best local ingredients. A great stop off for those enjoying a day on the beach or for walkers along the coastal path. You can also enjoy a selection of handpicked beers, wines and soft drinks.
