Richard and Judy gush about South East Cornwall during interview
Looe and Polperro have a special pull on people staying at our caravan parks in Cornwall.
The picture postcard fishing villages create a lifelong love affair with our visitors that sees them coming back to Trelawne and Killigarth Manor year after year.

South East Cornwall struck a similar chord with celebrity couple Richard and Judy, and in a recent interview with The Herald, the pair explains why...
When asked where it all began, Judy replied: âWe both truly discovered Devon and Cornwall 30 summers ago. We had just got together and Richard was about to move in with me and my seven-year-old-twins, Tom and Dan.
âWe both felt it wouldn't exactly be the best thing if he just showed up at the breakfast table one morning, so we rented a cottage between Looe and Polperro for a week so we could all get used to each other at close quarters, and drove down from Manchester.â
The couple have been spending their holidays in Cornwall ever since.
Describing their favourite places to visit, Judy said: âOh, where to start? Obviously we love Talland Bay, between Looe and Polperro â we live round here! I'd say we're more wedded to the south coast than the north.â
In 1998 they purchased Steward House, with six acres of beautiful land in Talland Bay, near Polperro. Not just content with owning a property, they contribute to the local community, support charitable events and now describe the region as their 'spiritual home', with Richard stating: âto come to Cornwall is to come home.â
