Saunton Beach hosts Dogs Trust ‘Wags and Waves’ this weekend
Hello lovelies â sorry I haven't blogged for a while, I've been sooo busy since the season started and then it was my birthday over Easter weekend.
Anyway it's been great to see you all again, as well as all of your cute pooches that are clearly enjoying their UK dog friendly holidays!
For those of you that have brought your four-legged friends on holiday, I have found a great event that supports an amazing local charity, while taking in a beautiful North Devon beach at the same time...
Wags and Waves, organised by Dogs Trust Ilfracombe, returns to Saunton Beach 19th April for another year of family fun.
The event calls for locals and visitors to bring their families and pet pooches to the beach, for a range of activities in aid of the local Dogs charity.
For the children there is a dog themed sandcastle competition, while adults can take part in a sponsored 2.5km or 5km beach walk.
Claire Joselin, Wags and Waves Event Organiser, said: "Last year's sponsored walk was so much fun and walkers raised over £700 for the dogs in our care.â
"This year we hope to have even more participants and we now have the sandcastle competition for all our younger supporters too.â
Participants will also be offered free microchipping for their pets.
If Wags and Waves is something you'd like to get involved in during your pet friendly holidays, registration forms can be downloaded here. £5 fee applies.
