Spooktacular Half Term Activities in Somerset
October is one of my favourite times of year at our Somerset caravan parks, there are so many Halloween and October half term activities happening in and around our holiday sites with something for everyone to enjoy. Not only that, it is my dear friend Cheffy’s birthday which we will be celebrating during half term! Here are my favourite half term activities to enjoy when you are on one of our Somerset holidays.
From 26th October – 3rd November the home of Halloween opens its doors once again for spooky fun throughout the autumn half term. Costume characters will be on site including their very own Witch of Wookey Hole who will be giving a free treat to every child.
Dress up as your favourite Halloween character and you could win a prize at the end of the Halloween Circus Show. There will also be Circus Workshops so you can have a go yourself.
A spooky cave tour is included in your visit and at the end the Halloween grotto awaits – enter if you dare! As ever, there are over 20 fantastic attractions included in your visit such as the 4D Cinema, Dinosaur Valley, Penny Arcade, Mirror Maze, Pirate Crazy Golf, Play Areas and MORE!
When you are staying at our holiday park Somerset during October half term head over to Hestercombe Gardens for two weeks of Halloween fun! From 19th October – 1st November there will be a variety of activities taking place including a murder mystery trail, shadow puppet workshops, Victorian craft and spell making workshops plus you can meet the creepy crawlies when Exmoor Zoo comes to visit.
Celebrate Halloween in style at Torre Cider farm when you are staying at one of our caravan parks in Somerset. Enjoy apple bobbing, pumpkin carving, apple skittles, spooky orchard trail and chilling mystic story telling! There will also be Halloween inspired treats in the cafe, a fancy dress competition and for the adults is the scary Along Came A Cider and other ciders to taste.
Back to Terror brings 144 classic 80s films back to life in a nail biting walkthrough show. Meet key characters from your favourite movies and make your way through a Hollywood film set from the 1980s before being chased through the 70s where the true horror started.
During your Somerset holidays you can bring your family and friends together to enjoy some sensational seasonal activities at Longleat. Spend some quality time with the kids carving pumpkins, mini tractor driving, autumn themed art and daily owl displays.
If you are looking for something spookier head over to Longleat House for a spine-chilling tour of unseen cellars, eerie attics and dark corridors; all whilst sharing haunting tales of Longleat’s legendary past.
And last but not least end the day on a high with a spectacular firework display on 25th & 26th October and then again on 1st & 2nd November.
