Star headliners to rock Looe Music Festival 2015
The last of the big summer music festivals takes place this weekend, and the excitement is bubbling as tickets are quickly snapped up by locals, visitors and you guys on your caravan holidays in Cornwall.
Looe Music Festival is staged on the doorstep of Trelawne Manor Holiday Park, and the small fishing village’s beach, harbour and streets are transformed into 3 days of live music and entertainment!
Festival organisers have an impressive history of drawing top headliners and support acts, and this year they've continued the trend of attracting big names.
Friday night sees The Proclaimers take to the stage and you can guarantee "500 Miles" to be echoing around the streets! It’ll be familiar surroundings for the group, who lived in the country for a couple years when they were kids.
Support on the Friday comes from Buzzcocks, Bad Manners, Wille & The Bandits, Andy Quick’s Flying Orchestra, Athena Rockets, plus plenty more.
The Saturday night headline slot is taken by Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra – look out for the very special guest too! Support acts include Tankus The Henge, The Dodge Brothers, Backbeat Soundsystem, 3 Daft Monkeys and Rosie & The Goldbug.
Closing the festival is founder and legendary guitarist of The Smiths, Johnny Marr – what a coup! This will be the first time Marr has played in Cornwall since The Smiths' Cornwall Coliseum concert in October 1986.
Among the other acts on Sunday are Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Mad Dog Mcrea, Ferocious Dog, Duke Special and Auction For The Promise Club.
Day tickets are available for those of you staying at our holiday parks in Cornwall. Adults pay a discounted price of £38, while children under 5 can enter free of charge.
