Yesterday was a big day in the Devon calendar, as tickets officially went on sale for the area's headline event, the Devon County Show!
I'm sure many of you staying at our holiday parks in Devon saw the news yesterday, but for those who didn't, here are the ins and outs...
New for 2015, the Show is running an advance sales promotion, giving early bird bookers the best price tickets for the first few weeks. After April 10th prices will gradually increase, so get in there quick guys and save yourselves some pounds!
The Devon County Show, 120 years old this year, will again be held at the Westpoint Showground over the 21st, 22nd and 23rd May.
More than 95,000 are expected over 3 days, kicking off the agricultural season in style with animal shows, competitions and adrenaline fuelled entertainment.
Ollie Allen, Devon County Show Secretary, said they are planning on serving up 'a giant slice of Devon country life'.
âThe Show offers so much for everyone to enjoy.â
âThere will be delicious local food, prize-winning animals, a fantastic array of West Country crafts and flowers and six Show rings packed with activity and entertainment,â she added.
Standing out for me on the events schedule is the freestyle motocross stunt team, The Bolddog Lings â they look quality! There's also Farm Wise Devon, a huge new interactive feature for children, educating on where their food comes from and workshops for them to take part in.
For those taking their Devon holidays over the same weekend, there is a fantastic family-friendly offer on the Saturday (23rd May), with the Show offering free admission for two children per adult!
