Top 5 places to visit on public transport from our parks

If you fancy booking a break with us but you rely on public transport and you're not decided on where to visit, we’ve rounded up five key attractions across the counties, accessible by public transport from our nearby holiday parks.

1. Land’s End from St Ives by bus

As mainland Britain’s most South-Westerly point, Land’s End offers breath-taking views out over the Atlantic Ocean. With 200ft high granite cliffs and views to the Isles of Scilly on a good day, it’s no surprise Land’s End is one of the UK’s most famous landmarks. Take the LAND bus route from St Ives Holiday Village and see for yourself! The journey will take approximately 50 minutes from Penzance, Cornwall.

2. Weston Super Mare from Sandy Glade by bus

With wide-sweeping sandy beaches, a bustling live music and comedy scene and some fantastic walks, Weston Super Mare is a great place to explore if staying with us at Sandy Glade Holiday Park. You can access it via a direct bus, number 20, which runs to park the entrance.

3. Liskeard Food Market by train from Looe

If you fancy losing yourself in a bustling Cornish food market, offering the best fresh fish, locally grown fruits and vegetables and other tasty delicacies then the Liskeard Food Market is where you need to be. You can catch the Looe Valley Line that’s close to our Trelawne park - a scenic train journey where you can spot numerous bird species as you sail through the wooded valley and estuary.

4. Ilfracombe harbour by bus from Sandaway

The quaint, arty harbour town of Ilfracombe offers many wildlife watching boat trips, passage to the famous Lundy Island via the Oldenburg and is home to Damien Hurst’s iconic statue, Verity. Ilfracombe can be accessed via the 301 bus, which runs through Combe Martin village where our Sandaway and Combe Martin Beach parks are situated.

5. Fishguard fort by bus from Cardigan

Perched on the clifftop known as Castle Point, sits the remains of an 18th century fort, built to defend the town of Fishguard. Now only ruined remains and several old canons, the fort was once pivotal during the French invasion and is steeped in history. The fort houses an old bunker, which visitors are able to enter. Catch the T5 bus from Cardigan Finch Square C near our Cardigan Bay park to The Square, Fishguard and then enjoy a short walk from the town up to the fort.
