Top 5 Roast Dinner's in Cornwall
Ciao friends! It's been a while since we last spoke! I have been busy travelling around our Cornwall caravan parks searching for the best traditional roast dinners in the area!
It is still very cold and dull outside, so what better way to finish your Cornwall family holiday next month than with a British Sunday Roast. Here are my top 5 pubs and restaurants in Cornwall are renowned for their Sunday lunches.
1. The Loft restaurant & Terrace - St Ives
Situated in the artist's quarter of the picturesque town of St Ives, the old loft-making building is well known for its Sunday Roasts using the best local ingredients.
2. The Springer Spaniel - Launceston
This 18th Century rustic pub is owned and run by Masterchef winner Anton Piotrowski. The menu takes a twist on traditional Sunday lunches such as slow roast Cajun leg of lamb, creamy mash, pea puree and all the trimmings. You can get two courses for £18 or three for £22 and kids eat free, from noon to 6pm every Sunday.
3. Bustopher Jones â Truro
This new Cornish restaurant changes their Sunday Roast menu every week building it around seasonal ingredients changing the meats from the butchers, from the sea & the allotment so there is something for everyone's taste buds.
4. Star & Garter â Falmouth
Star & Garter is on the High Street & takes Sunday lunches very seriously, whether it is a sirloin of beef, leg of lamb or proper roast pork all of their meat is supplied by a renowned Cornish butcher. Go in and enjoy the view over the bay in front of the open fire.
5. Old School Bar & Kitchen â Mount Hawk
