Trereife Christmas Fair brings festive spirit to Penzance
With Christmas just over 5 weeks away, it seems only right for my blog to continue with its festive theme of late. After blogging about the Truro City of Lights festival last week, it's time for the festive spirit to be brought to Penzance, thanks to the Trereife Christmas Gift Fair!
Many of you staying at our caravan parks over Easter visited Trereife House for its annual Easter Food & Craft Fair, but this weekend sees the historic Queen Anne manor house and spectacular grounds transformed into a festive haven.
Events begin this Friday evening, 21st November, with a magical evening of shopping, local food and designer crafts and demonstrations. Entertainment throughout the evening comes from singer songwriters, local school choirs and a traditional brass band.
The evening concludes with local school children parading beautiful lanterns, followed by festive choirs and fundraising activities.
Under heated marquees, with mulled wine in hand, visitors can browse quality off-the-high-street art and craft throughout the weekend. A range of suppliers will also be on hand to tickle your taste buds with local produce, allowing you to take a little slice of your UK caravan holidays back for the Christmas season.
Should your wallets and full bellies require a rest, Tim Le Grice will be on hand to give tours of his historic home, teaching visitors the history of the stunning property.
Live music continues to provide entertainment across the weekend as well as a traditional fairground carousel and storytelling to keep the children occupied.
The fair's opening times are as follows: Friday 21st 5pm- 9pm; Saturday 22nd 10am-4pm; Sunday 23rd 10am-4pm. Admission for adults is £3.50, children £2 and under 5s can enter free of charge - family tickets are also available for £11 (two adults and three children).
