Trixie’s 5 Favourite Books
Hello there everybody! There’s only one more sleep until our holiday parks open for 2017 and to make things even more exciting today is World Book Day! I love looking at the pictures and books being read to me especially on my caravan holidays.
Here is my list of my top 5 favourite books:
The Very Hungry Caterpillar - The classic, lovely story of how a caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly. The caterpillar hatches from an egg and eats and eats lots of fruit until he gets tummy ache. After getting better the hungry caterpillar spins a cocoon and after two weeks becomes a pretty butterfly.
The Gruffalo – It tells the story of the quick thinking mouse that went walking in the dark woods and came face to face with an Owl, a Fox, a Snake and my favourite monster - the hungry Gruffalo.
We are going on a Bear Hunt - We're going on a bear hunt. We're going to catch a big one. What a beautiful day! We're not scared. Join in the family's excitement as they wade through the grass, splash through the river and squelch through the mud in search of a bear.
Winnie-the-Pooh – Follow the adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Christopher Robin, Owl, Kanga, Roo and Tigger down in the Hundred Acre Wood. The classic tales show true friendship and lots of games of Pooh-sticks!
The Tiger Who Came to Tea – When the doorbell rings Sophie and her mummy never would have expected a big hungry tiger to walk in and join them for tea. The tiger ate and drank everything so the next day Sophie and her mum went out to buy a big tin of tiger food – but the hungry tiger never returned!
In honour of World Book Day we would love you to post your costume pictures and favourite books to our Facebook page.
