The Ultimate Guide to Easter in Devon, Cornwall & Somerset
Easter is my favourite time of year not just because of all the fun events that take place at our caravan parks or the chocolate eggs but because IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! As the schools in Devon & Cornwall break up for Easter on Friday I thought I would make a ‘what’s on’ list around our Devon, Cornwall & Somerset holiday parks this Easter.
Big Sheep Easter EGGSTRAVAGANZA Festival - The BIG Sheep will be open to visitors for its annual Easter Eggstravaganza Festival from the Saturday 1st April & Monday 17th April. There will be over 30,000 chocolate eggs to find, cute new born lambs and even the Easter Bunny is set to make an appearance.
Easter Fun at Atlantic Village- Easter fun at Atlantis Adventure Park with Alice in Wonderland themed days and their big Easter weekend egg hunt Mon 3rd April - Mon 17th April! Come and play on their FREE table tennis tables and giant connect 4. Visit atlanticvillage.co.uk for more information.
Easter Grotto at The Milky Way – Ever wondered where the Easter Bunny’s magic is made? Then visit The Milky Way this holiday, journey into their delightful and unique Easter Grotto – and see for yourself! And that’s not all! This year’s fun runs from Monday April 3 to Friday April 21, and includes a massive Easter treasure hunt, ‘Eggs Galore’ scratch card game, and Golden Egg Prize Draw – with over 5000 prizes to be won, including an iPad and vouchers to spend in the Milky Way shop!
Easter Bush Crafts and Woodland Games - For children aged between 6-14 years at Sea Green School, Yomer Woods, Lee (between Woolacombe & Ilfracombe). Bring wellies or sturdy shoes and waterproofs as well as a snack. Lunch will be cooked on the campfire. £25 per child (discount for siblings)
Easter Eggspress at Lappa Valley- With a whole host of Easter themed activities included in the standard admission, including train rides with the Easter Bunny, duck racing with prizes and an Easter quiz trail where all children can win a chocolate egg. The Easter Bunny will be very busy at Lappa Valley Steam Railway laying clues on the Easter trail so visitors can win a chocolate egg!
Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt 2017- From 1st- 23rd April Visit the only dinosaur exhibition in south Devon during the Easter holidays for the rooaarsome Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt at Torquay Dinosaur World. Get close and personal with the dinosaurs, discover fascinating fossils, and be a Dinosaur Detective to find out who has been stealing the dinosaur eggs.
Eggsstreme Easter at Woodlands Family Theme Park- Travel through a land of chocolate heaven, take in the stunning views and see the magic of the world of Easter before meeting the Easter Bunny himself in the UK’s first and only Chocolate Easter Bunny’s Grotto.
Babbacombe Model Village - Easter Egg Trail- Can you find all the hidden eggs - some may be eggstremely hard to find, but it will be eggscellent if you can find all 20. A chocolately treat for all successful young eggsplorers!
Easter Holidays at Pennywell Farm- There is a bumper program of Easter activities and a host of adorable new arrivals to meet and cuddle, with free half-hourly activities and the ‘eggs-tra’ Easter fun and games add to the enjoyment. There’s also a full line up of entertainment every day throughout the Easter holidays.
Easter at Powderham Castle - Enjoy Easter at Powderham Castle with the ‘The Essence of Eggs’, an egg-themed mad science event with an egg quiz, egg decorating, egg display and ‘egg-speriments’! Follow the trail and solve the quest.
Paradise Park- Have an eggtastic time as you hunt around Paradise Park spotting clues along the way – you might even spot some dinosaur eggs! Complete the trail, find the answers to our questions and claim your free mini egg treatThe Famous DairyLand Easter Egg Hunt.
Easter at Newquay Zoo- Visit Newquay Zoo this Easter for the Eggstreme Easter Egg trail from 14th-17th April. Help Pickle the penguin find his friends hiding around the zoo. You could win a chocolate treat and entry into the Prize Draw to win an amazing 'Penguin Pack'.

Easter Holidays at Flambards - This Easter holidays, Saturday 1 April – Sunday 23 April, head to Flambards Theme Park, Helston for a BIG Easter Egg Hunt and plenty of eggciting entertainment throughout the holidays. From meet and greets with Flambards’ mascot Ferdi Fox to a veritably Victorian Easter experience in the Victorian Village and discover some dino eggs in the Jurassic Journey Trail! Dairyland Easter Egg Hunt- An eggstravaganza of Easter crafts in Dairyland Farm’s egg workshop. Boris and Dazy’s Famous Easter egg hunt for chocolate treats. Find the hidden Easter chicks exploring the park on the Easter trail: something for the whole family.
Easter Sunday and Monday at the Monkey Sanctuary- Support a local charity and visit the monkeys this Easter Sunday and Monday and take part in the fun Easter trail! Follow the clues around the wildlife garden to find the secret word and win an Easter prize!
Easter Fun at Wookey Hole – Running every day from 1st - 23rd April join the Easter fun at Wookey Hole, including games and competitions with the Easter Bunny! Each child receives an Easter treat. There are Over 20 fantastic attractions included in your ticket including, 4D Cinema, Wizard's Play Barns, Guided tour of the world famous Wookey Hole Caves, Magical Mirror Maze and much more.
Bristol Zoo's Eggstravaganza- This Easter half term, Bristol Zoo invites you to join us for an Eggstravaganza. The zoo will have a variety of additional activities over this period, including an adventurous giant egg trail around our award-winning gardens, creative crafts in our activity centre and egg-citing fun for our animals.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm – This Easter holiday join Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm and try to find all the bunnies hidden in Europe's largest hedge maze! There will be a free treasure hunt adventure for all the family with real bunny handling sessions throughout the day in the Animal Village to celebrate.
Weston Seaquarium - SeaQuarium Weston will begin its Easter Eggstravaganza event from 8th April – 23rd April. Guests are invited to join in on the fun and hunt for the missing eggs hidden deep within the tanks. Those who are clever enough to crack the password in the Eggsplorer’s Trail will win a delicious Easter treat!*
Easter Underground at Kents Cavern- Go underground this Easter at Kents Cavern with fun cave tours every day with lots of Easter activities to complete including dino quest and Easter egg hunt.
Glow in the dark Easter egg Hunt- Become an egg-splorer this Easter at the Cheddar Gorge & Caves and head to Gough's Cave between 1st – 23rd April for a magical egg hunt like no other! But keep an eye out - the Easter Bunny has left a mysterious message along with his glow-in-the-dark eggs, and we need you to crack the code in return for a tasty treat.
Easter on the West Somerset Railway – Join The West Somerset Railway for a brand new Easter Egg Trail which can be carried out whilst travelling on their services. The Easter Bunny has hidden a word along the railway and you need to find the letters at 5 of the stations, once you have the letters on your sheet, hand it in at either Minehead or Bishops Lydeard shop to receive a prize!
