VIDEO: Cornwall based video game seeking funding
Have you ever returned from your caravan holidays in Cornwall wishing you'd had more time to discover the county's most iconic spots?
Well you'll be able to continue the exploring from your smartphone, tablet or desktop computer if a Cornwall based video game finds success in its kickstarter campaign.
The Secret Cove, developed by Derbyshire based company Cheeky Sprite, takes you on a journey around some of Cornwall's most popular beauty spots, providing puzzle solving tasks and treasure hunts along the way - sounds cool huh?
You play the modern-day point-and-click adventure as a deck hand on a mission to discover the Secret Cove. The adventure takes him to Cornwall's most famous landmarks, such as The Minack Theatre, Eden Project, St Michael's Mount, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Tintagel Castle plus lots more you might recognise from staying at our caravan parks.
Suzanne Moseley-Payne, project director at Cheeky Sprite, said: "Although we're not based in Cornwall it's a place that's close to our hearts.â
"I've been going every year since I was born, and we take our son twice a year. So many games are set in locations that aren't real, but we're passionate about Cornwall, so we thought what a great inspiration to use the places we've been to."
Suzanne and husband Nigel said after two years of self funding they need to raise an additional £50,000 to make the game a reality. They've launched a kickstarter campaign here www.kickstarter.com/projects/thesecretcove/the-secret-cove-adventure-game which they hope will be supported.
I've managed to get my hands on the game's trailer! Check it out below...
