Visit Devon reveal top 10 most tweeted attractions

After a year's worth of Twitter research, Visit Devon has revealed the county's top 10 most tweeted about visitor attractions.

This comes at an awesome time for you guys visiting our caravan holiday parks for half term, and saves the couple of hours you'd have otherwise spent researching the local area for places to go!

Topping the list is The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth – an international charity transforming the quality of life for donkeys and mules worldwide. In everything they do, donkeys will always come first, second and third.

It's exciting to see so many tourist attractions, so close to South Bay Holiday Park, featuring in the top 10! Paignton Zoo narrowly missed out on the top spot, with Battery Gardens & Brixham Battery Museum and the South Devon Railway ranking at 8th and 9th respectively.

Carolyn Custerson, from Visit Devon, said: “Social media is now a powerful tool for the tourism industry and it is fantastic to see so many of Devon's great attractions making their mark in this recent study.”
