West Cornwall ice cream parlours rated among UK’s best
If you've spent time in Cornwall on your caravan holidays UK, you'll know how widely celebrated the local food scene is, particularly the Cornish pasty and delicious seafood.
But it's Cornwall's ice cream parlours that are grabbing the headlines this time, with two from West Cornwall rated among the top 10 in the UK by users of travel giant TripAdvisor.
Mr B's, which has two parlours close to Tolroy Manor Holiday Park in Hayle, was named number three on the list, after receiving the maximum five star rating on the website. This comes after it was also featured as one of the UK's best in a recent Telegraph article.
The family-run business specialises in sorbets, milkshakes, smoothies and mouth-watering ice creams made from local and Italian ingredients. You might have even enjoyed one of these served from their retro vans near our static caravan sites?
Moomaid of Zennor, a small family-run ice cream parlour located near St Ives Holiday Village, also received a five star rating and placed ninth on TripAdvisor's list.
Their Cornish ice cream is made from a parlour located on a farm in Zennor, and is mixed by hand from the milk of the farm's cows. Flavours include salted almond praline, blackcurrant cheesecake and Turkish delight.
One TripAdvisor reviewer said: âWe visited twice while in St Ives on holiday and ate here on recommendations. Delicious ice-cream, bewildering array of flavours, all made locally and lovely, friendly staff.â
