Winter improvements

All of our parks have been a hive of activity throughout the winter while we’ve been closed - tidying, cleaning, improving and getting everything ready for our 2026 season reopening. One of the busiest parks of all has been Ruda.

Since welcoming Ruda into the John Fowler family last summer, we’ve been working hard to lead it into an exciting new chapter. With millions invested, we’re confident guests will love the changes we’ve made.

First and foremost, the park has undergone a much-needed refurbishment. The Boardwalk, Showbar and reception areas are all sporting a fresh new look, alongside stunning redecoration in both Lundy House and Lundy Cottage. Over 10% of our caravans have been replaced with Platinum Plus models - some complete with hot tubs - and a number of existing holiday homes have also been refurbished.

You spoke, and we listened. The camping and touring shower block has received a complete overhaul, boasting a brand-new look, an integrated laundrette, solar panels on the roof, and will soon be ready for your next camping adventure.

Across the park, our team has been busy painting, weeding, creating a superb deckchair photo-opportunity area, and ensuring everything is spick and span for our February half-term opening.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’ve added a host of new kids’ activities, along with brand-new pool tables in the Boardwalk. And this is just the beginning - we have plenty more exciting projects and plans in store as we continue to develop Ruda.
