Sandy Glade team up with Somerset Wildlife Trust
We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between our Somerset holiday park and the Somerset Wildlife Trust. Sandy Glade Holiday Park has recently joined the Somerset Wildlife Trust corporate membership scheme which will help the trust with the necessary funds to continue their outstanding work across the county.
Here at John Fowler Holiday Parks we are committed to looking after the environment from recycling initiatives to wildlife conservation, encouraging guests to be green and having a positive impact on the environment.
As well as doing our best to preserve and increase the wild bird population with feeding stations and nest boxes, we have also taken more action to defend and boost species and habitats on our caravan parks by creating habitats for local wildlife such as bug hotels and bat boxes.
Sandy Glade park manager Warren said “We are delighted to be supporting the Somerset Wildlife Trust. It is very fitting for us as we are very passionate about wildlife on all of our holiday parks and we are doing a number of things at Sandy Glade Holiday Park and Sandy Meadows Lodge Park to protect and enhance the amazing wildlife we find on site.”
Kirby Everett, Head of Communications at SWT…. “We are hugely grateful to John Fowler Holiday Parks for joining a growing network of businesses who want to support us. More than that though, they have done a huge amount on their actual site to provide homes for wildlife at a time when we face massive species decline and diminishing biodiversity, and play their part in helping to create a connected and robust nature network across the county to ensure a healthy future for wildlife and for people. We hope others lead by their example. Everyone can do something on their own space – large or small – to give wildlife a home.”
