St Ives Holiday Village pays surprise visit to families at Little Harbour Hospice

Family friendly values are set at the heart of our UK holiday parks, and we feel it’s important to give back to the community, particularly to families who are less fortunate than others.

With that in mind, we briefed a team from St Ives Holiday Park with the task of surprising children and parents at Little Harbour Hospice, located close to our Cornwall holiday parks. Accompanying park manager Matt Mitchell and entertainments co-ordinator Sammie Edmunds were our loveable and mischievous characters Freddy the Fox and Trixie!

Upon arriving, our St Ives team were greeted by some very smiley and excited children along with the Hospice’s fantastic staff.

Freddy and Trixie presented the children with a massive bag of goodies, before causing havoc climbing on a very well built pirate ship, and getting stuck in some smaller than anticipated pop up tents.

Park manager Matt Mitchell said this would be the first of many visits to the Hospice: “We decided to visit Little Harbour after some research by our entertainments team. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by the staff and all of families staying there.”

“The aim of the visit was to give the children and their families some time to relax and have cuddles with Freddy the Fox and Trixie.”

“We now intend to make more frequent visits and are hoping to attend Little Harbour’s Open Day in June”.

The Hospice is a truly amazing place and houses a very heart warming environment along with an impressive range of facilities for the children. From all of us here at John Fowler Holidays and St Ives Holiday Park, a big thank you to Jackie and the team at Little Harbour for making us welcome for the day.
