St Ives Park Manager is running 40 @ 40

Next March, our wonderful/crazy park manager at St Ives Holiday Village, Kevin Waite, will reach a significant age and to celebrate that numerical milestone he will be running 40 miles on his 40th Birthday, raising as much money as possible for Cornwall Hospice Care. 

Kevin was very close to his father and just over 8 years ago he lost his mentor and best friend to cancer. Paul spent the last few weeks of his life at Cornwall Hospice Care, where he and the family received amazing care and comfort from the most wonderful staff, who made them feel safe and eased their stress during a very difficult time in their lives. Paul always spoke about how he wanted to help raise money for the Hospice once he was better, which sadly never happened. Since his father passed away Kevin, with the help of so many at John Fowler Holidays, has raised an incredible amount of money including £7000 he raised doing a bike ride in 2013 around most of our UK holiday parks. 

Kevin will be taking on a new charity challenge next year. On 22nd March (his 40th birthday) instead of his normal birthday Chinese meal, he will be running 40 miles alongside his sister Tracy Waite, raising as much money as possible for the Cornwall Hospice Care. He will continue to fulfil his dad's wishes to raise money for this amazing charity, they will be starting the run at Paul's resting point at Church Cove and running along the coast to Penzance and then finishing off at St Ives Holiday Village.
