Three John Fowler Holiday Parks Make The Tourism Award Finals

We are absolutely delighted to announce that three of our holiday parks have been selected as finalists at the Tourism Awards. All three of the holiday sites are in the running for a bronze, silver or gold award within the Holiday Park and Village of the Year category. 

South Bay Holiday Park is one of the finalists in the Devon Tourism Awards, and this year's awards, sponsored by Hoseasons, saw records broken yet again! With 164 entries in the Devon awards and 651 across the South West, the panel selected 77 finalists and 6 Highly Commended based on evidence and reports from 48 judges who have this year carried out 115 visits to businesses across Devon. The awards will be presented at the 'Palazzo' at Highbullen Hotel, Golf & Country Club on 22nd November 2018.

The Cornwall Tourism Awards will be presented in Truro Cathedral on 1st November 2018 and we are excited that St Ives Holiday Village has been nominated for an award. An increased 189 entries were received from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, with 79 selected as finalists who will be in suspense until the Awards Ceremony when they will learn whether they have won Gold, Silver or Bronze awards. 

St Ives Holiday Village has undergone a multi-million pound development programme over the past few years. As a part of this latest development at the Cornwall holiday park, 27 old chalets have been removed to make way for 26 brand new, state of the art luxury lodges, some with private hot tubs. With Phase 5  being completed at the start of 2018 the total number of lodges at St Ives Holiday Village to 94, along with 29 refurbished chalets and we have now closed off a further 35 old chalets which will no longer be available for let ready for the next phase. 

This year's Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards is sponsored by Bristol Airport and Sandy Glade Holiday Park are over the moon to be a finalist in the Holiday Park of the Year category. There has been a 30% increase in entries in 2018 compared to previous years and judges have now shortlisted 84 finalists from Bath, Bristol and across Somerset to Exmoor with an additional 18 Highly Commended awarded. The finalists will have to wait until the Tourism Awards ceremony at the Apex Hotel, Bath on Thursday 15th November to find out whether they will win Bronze, Silver or Gold.
