Sandy Meadows Lodge Park is located down a lane off the Brean Strip. It is perfectly located for accessing the 7 mile sandy strip of beach at Brean where you can enjoy a number of water sport activities. The traditional seaside towns of Weston Super Mare and Burnham on Sea are both easily accessible by bus from the main road.
A little further afield, you can visit the stunning caves, caverns and gorges of Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge, take a trip to the Roman Baths and Jane Austen Centre in Bath, enjoy visting some stunning castles and cathedrals including Dunster Castle and Glastonbury Abbey, enjoy a nostalgic trip along the West Somerset Railway or venture into Wiltshire for a trip to Longleat Safari Park.
There is an abundant range of local food and drink available with some award winning ciders which are fantastic paired with delicious cheeses incuding Cheddar, Applewood and Exmoor Blue all of which are local to Somerset. The local area is also home to Yeo Valley with their range of organic yoghurts, dairy produce and ice cream.

Take a right out of main entrance and cycle for 1.5 miles and the beginning of the path is opposite Brean Village hall. You can then cycle all the way to Uphill beach in Weston-Super-Mare which takes you over lovely farmland without meeting any traffic.

Cross over the road at the main entrance and follow the sandy path to the lovely vast beach. You can also explore the nature reserve and sand dunes here. Dogs are welcome on the beach but must be kept under control and all mess cleared away.

This is a large sandy beach with long promenade (and the shortest pier in the UK!) It is a 5 minute drive from the park or can be accessed by the number 20 bus from outside the park. Dogs are banned on the beach from May 1st to September 30th.
