Award Winning Holiday Park
St Ives Holiday Village is a multi award winning park.
In 2018/19 we were proud winners of the bronze award in Holiday Park of the Year catergory at the Cornwall Tourism Awards. This is a fiercely contended catergory with entries from holiday parks all over the country. The Tourism Awards recognise excellence in tourism celebrating quality, innovation and best practice. We also received a highly commended status for Wildlife Friendly Business of the Year in 2020/21.
The park is also delighted to have received a Gold David Bellamy for Conservation for 2020/21. The awards champion holiday parks working to protect and enhance Britain's environment. Parks are assessed on how they help wildlife, save resources and demonstrate neighbourliness, It is one of the longest running green tourism award systems in the UK. Piloted in 1996, the first awards were presented in 1997. Since then parks have received over 9,000 awards with 570 parks receiving an award in 2018/19. Brain child of the late David Bellamy his "dream" was to "upgrade all caravan parks to some sort of conservation status so that they can educate the visiting public and help them to respect and care for the countryside."
The park also participates in the annual schemes to create and manage habitats and has so far earned each of the badges available demnostrating a commitment to providing a home for wildlife and an environment in which they can thrive. We are also deilghted to have been awarded a Honey Bee Pledge logo to show that we are committed to bee conservation.
In 2018, the park proved its environmental credentials further by receiving the Green Tourism Award at a silver standard. The awards certification programme recognises the commitment of tourism businesses which are actively working to become more sustainable. Areas that are assessed include reducing energy and water consumption, eco-friendly waste disposal, buying local and promoting bio-diversity.
We are also holders of a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence honours hospitality businesses that deliver consistently great service. It is presented to approximately 10% of total businesses on Tripadvisor that have consistently achieved great reviews.
