Great little gem, went for Valentine's weekend, half term. Staff friendly and General manager David.. We book a mini break every year. Its not our main holiday, but couldnt see why I would not stay for a week. Thanks again Sandy Glade for a fantastic start to holiday season.
To be fair everything is quite decent but it's such a shame are chalet had a few issues with mould.
We found some on the children's bed.
Some mould was in the bathroom.
I'm for silver I was expecting a little bit more there's some final touches that need to be made in the chalets to make it a little bit better but overall the park is very clean and tidy the sofa friendly so it does make up for some of the defaults.
OMGG! We went to our first Murder Mystery weekend and we had such a fantastic time. Will definitely be back. Samantha, on reception was the best! SO, So helpful with everything, We wanted a carvery, bit it being Mother’s Day, we didn’t think we stood a chance, but she rang the Pack of Cards and booked us a table! The entertainment was brilliant and Freddie, the entertainment manager even turned the music down as hubby hearing aids and couldn’t bear the noise. The breakfast was lovely and cooked to MY taste. Everyone could not have been more obliging! Definitely will go back…
Ideally placed to spend the weekend at the top of the country.
Not too close to the tourist super trap of actual St Ives, but close enough the catch the train and get in. Definitely catch the train, don't try to drive or park anywhere near St Ives, especially at this time of year!
Had a nice pasty too.
Holiday village was super clean and quiet, well stocked shop if you want a snack...
Lots of squirrels, so hide your nuts.
Great Camping holiday at Widemouth bay caravan park . 19 of us went camping over 4 days with four dogs .
Holiday park was very nice with great views . All staff from the moment we arrived were all friendly and helpful.
We read some very poor reviews for this campground and nearly cancelled our holiday but very glad we didn’t.
This is a low budget holiday park and what you got for your money, we thought was great.
The camp site is on a hill and slopes of especially around the kingfisher field which is mostly large electric pitches where we stayed. Just go prepared for this. The camp site can be very windy as next to the sea .
We arrived as the storm was going through and made sure we had heavy duty camp pegs and storm straps . This helped as the first night was very windy however the rest of our stay was great weather.
Our pitches were great , they were not wet or muddy and you could see where the touring manager had been filling in the holes and why we were there he was riding round on his lawn mower keeping the grass low .
The main toilets and shower block are old there is a new block behind this. The water pressure is low but they were cleaned constantly when we were there . In the four days we stayed we never had to que for the toilet or shower .
If you want to go swimming in the small pool you need to book a slot the day before. We were a large family group and managed to book 15 people in one slot but did this the day we arrived as advised by staff. Get ready before you go and dry back at your tent as only a few changing rooms .
The children big and small enjoyed the pool.
One evening we took the small children to see the club house childrens entertainment which was great but for the under 10s. The girls who were running it did a great job and were very engaging with all the children.
We did go back the second night but later in the evening and had a great time with the karaoke and the evening bingo and we all managed to sit together both times .
We thought food and drink in the club house was reasonable and found the shop to be very cheap.
You can take dogs at the bar end in the club house but not in the main area.
The only negative we found to the site is some of the roads around the site have really weathered and need sorting so I could see how caravans could struggle but all our cars were fine also the electric hook ups arnt very clear whos is whos so could do with labelling as they are not behind each pitch .
Overall we had a great family holiday and would definitely go back again .
Great holiday park, quiet, with a shop, bar, swimming pool and children's play area on site. Conveniently located between Perrnaporth and St Agnes, with a bus stop just outside the site, you can ask at reception for a timetable.
This our 3rd time staying in No.35, and we have had a fantastic time.
It is a Gold pet friendly bungalow, and has everything you would need and more for a great holiday, with a walk-in shower, comfy beds, air fryer. It is set in a quiet sunny corner of the park, overlooking the Cornish countryside.
We can't wait to return 😊
