Santa to swap trusted reindeers for South Devon steam train this December
Santa will be swapping Rudolph, Dasher, Blitzen and the rest of his trusted reindeers this December, when he returns to South Devon to hop aboard a famous steam train.
South Devon Railway, an award-winning attraction close to our holiday parks in Devon, welcomes Santa back after a successful 2014, and this year looks set to be more popular again.
'Santa by Steam' will run between Buckfastleigh and Tones, leaving 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm on December 5, 6, 12, 13, 18, through to December 23.
Off the back of last year's success, organisers are expecting a quick sell out this year, especially after the rumours circulating that Santa is bringing even MORE presents to dish out this time!
And it's not just the lead up to Christmas to look forward to on the South Devon Railway. Those taking their Devon holidays over the full festive period can catch a steam train trip on Boxing Day, all the way through to January 3.
Boxing Day trains do not need to be pre-booked â you can jump on from Buckfastleigh at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm. Just remember to bring some leftover turkey sandwiches and mince pies as there will be no refreshments onboard.
