Winter Olympic commentary row inspires Freddy to become skier
Hey Guys! Who's been watching the Winter Olympics in Sochi?
I have and I'm absolutely loving it. Everything about it is super cool and I've loved watching it all â even stuff that you might think is boring, like cross country skiing!
The best bit of it so far was when Jenny Jones won bronze in the slopestyle snowboarding for Britain.
I was watching it at home and I was screaming at the TV. Jenny's been snowboarding for years and was meant to retire in 2012 after she'd won the X-Games for a third time but then the International Olympic Committee decided to let slopestyle into the Olympics â and she decided to keep going.
Then she managed to win Bronze! She was in first place with ten other people left to come down the slope and only two got better scores than her, but it was really tense.
It was so tense the commentators got a bit carried away, because they knew Jenny. They were shouting when other people fell and there have been loads of complaints about it.
It probably was a bit unprofessional but I didn't mind it.
Some people have complained about Aimee Fuller's commentary but it was passionate and I thought that was good. At least it wasn't boring!
Plus I think anyone who can say stuff like "riding switch [back-to-front] is like writing left-handed while wearing a chip hat and being attacked by seagulls" is a bit of a hero!
Anyway â the Olympics has inspired me to try and learn to ski and I'm going to try when I go on my caravan holidays in Cornwall.
There are plans to build a dry ski slope at the Killiow Estate near Truro, not far from Perran View Holiday Park. If they go ahead I might just end up being Britain's next snowboarding gold medallist!
If I don't then I'll become a commentator. I guess it can't be that hard!
